Project Synopsis
This is a Fringe Festival proposal, working title, Democracy. It's a 45-minute comedy. A poor doll maker and his wife host their village's ballot box for the upcoming election. The local guerrilla tells them if anyone votes they will have a finger cut off. The local government functionary, who stuffs the ballot box, tells them if anyone doesn't vote, they will spend six months in mail. All four went to the same high school. The wife was a former lover of the two visitors. Much fun ensues. And no one loses a finger.
