Project Synopsis
The story follows two immigrants in a foreign country who butt heads over how to live life and survive in a world much different than the one they're used to.
Character 1
Omar (Lead)
Age
18 - 25
Gender
Male
Description
Introverted young boy with an ambition to succeed in the outer world beyond the confines of his cultural capacity. He has a desire to be independent but has no knowledge about his direction. He seems aimless yet steadfast in his principles. They are part of his identity and the only things he’s sure about until they are challenged by his own fellow countryman. Omar is introverted; self-confident, but a frail sense of it, patient, obedient, open minded, curious, withdrawn in unfamiliar situations, awkward, and emotionally attached to his parents and all associated with his parents.
Character 2
Osama (Lead)
Age
20 - 27
Gender
Male
Description
Sam is a quick thinking, aggressively adamant young man who has an urge to coerce his reality into his own beliefs. Though he tries to hide it, his life is built on unwelcomed experiences. He feels like he’s not in control but has all the knowledge to succeed. He believes in good being equivalent to freedom and rules that aren’t self serving to be bad. He’s practical and opposes the idealist in Omar and justifies it as the only way to succeed in life. To him, ideals may remain but idealists die and pragmatism is an evolutionary skill derived from bare survivalism. Sam is charismatic, quick thinking, knowledgeable, argumentative and insensitively intolerant to what he believes to be simply false.
Character 3
Sophie (Supporting)
Age
20 - 27
Gender
Female
Description
Sophie is a free spirit or at least desires to be. She takes life as a collection of moments to be cherished along with the people around her as rarities. She’s curious and observant and extremely energetic and cannot help but exude love and care. However, her strengths are retained by an absolute awareness of how dreary life could be without them. Hence, she tries to balance on a wire thin reality underneath which every discarded and unwanted memories lay but are also the essential foundations of her personality.
Character 4
Darya (Principal)
Age
18 - 25
Gender
Female
Description
Darya is one of Sophie's best friend who takes a keen interest in Omar. She is quite transparent about her feelings and headstrong in her approach. She's not afraid to get hurt but leads herself into situations where her plate gets too full.
Character 5
Omar's Father (Principal)...
Age
45 - 65
Gender
Male
Description
Omar’s father is a traditionalist who is unfamiliar with unconditional love. He believes in rules and its maintenance by the elderly. He believes the truths are preserved from the past and that the world has lost a sense of direction due to its yearning for freedom. As a result, the world has gained freedom from a once definitive and known direction as well. He believes in rights and responsibilities of people, over themselves and to others, and the necessity to heed by them. His conditions permeate into everything associated with him and has instead created a distancing awe between him and his son.
Additional Characters

Omar's Mother (Principal)
Age: 40 - 65
Female
Omar’s mother is dedicated to one thing in her life and that is the well being of Omar. She operates under a bias of fear and distrust of the outer world. In spite of all this, she is strong enough to hide her emotions just under her skin at a point where only the most observant could decipher her - as a mother does- for the sake of her son’s peace of mind.
