The Spontaneous Shakespeare Company is looking to add to our company! Vancouver's Premiere Improvised Shakespeare company, TSSC have been performing since 2016 with sold out runs at Havana Theatre, The Rio and Tightrope Theatre, as well as a smash hit 2023 Fringe run at the Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Edmonton Fringe Festivals. They currently run a monthly show at Little Mountain Gallery and are producing "Tragedy or Triumph: And Improvised Shakespearean Epic" at the 2024 Vancouver Fringe Festival. New company members will be given the opportunity to develop skills in improv, acting and Shakespearian performance, and will learn the company's various improvised Shakespeare formats. Once trained you will become a part of our performing company and have opportunities for more paid performance work. We are looking for performers with strong improv, acting or Shakespeare skills: You do not have to have all three, but everything helps! Auditions will be held in a group format, with a group warm up, skills instruction and the opportunity to perform multiple scenes for a selection panel. Our hope is to find new faces excited to help us build our company and who have a long term commitment to learning and performance.
