Project Synopsis
After the recent passing of his beloved daughter, Ken seeks hope in his local library, where he discovers Penny, who upon discovering Ken’s profession as a high school English teacher, asks for a friendly opinion on her upcoming essay in exchange for a book they both miraculously desire. When Ken is provided with a familiar spark, he agrees to participate in an intellectual conversation with Penny, one that dangerously touches on the admission of death. Eventually taking her words of wisdom, he once more becomes the student before the teacher, only to find his newfound perspective seemingly questioned after Penny’s true purpose becomes revealed.
