PIOTR- Please prepare a 2 minute monologue of your choosing as well as 16 bars of a song. Creative staging encouraged - we want to see how you move! No accompanist will be provided, however self-accompaniment is welcomed.

KOSTYA - Please prepare a 2 minute monologue of your choosing. Creative staging encouraged - we want to see how you move! You are welcome to prepare a song as well, but singing is not required for the role. If you play an instrument, please bring it in!

VIOLINIST - Sheet music will be provided upon submission.

Project Synopsis
Set in Stalinist Russia, The Russian Play tells the story of Sonya, a young flower-shop girl from the small town of Vladekstov, who falls in love with a gravedigger named Piotr. The Russian Play is a bittersweet ode to the dangerous joys of love. This production will be multidisciplinary in nature and dance and/or musical abilities are an asset.
