Project Synopsis
Troubled musician, Theo, makes a desperate bid to escape his self-destructive rockstar lifestyle -- and the toxic control of his band manager, Calvin -- after re-connecting with his best friend, Rose.
Additional Comments & Safety Protocol: 

All recommended COVID protocols will be implemented for the duration of this production. These include the use of PPE, limiting numbers on set, proper social distancing and sanitization. Any additional health and safety concerns can be addressed.

Description
Theo Green is a talented solo artist on the verge of an emotional breakdown. The sustained, isolated lifestyle of a touring musician has taken its toll. Theo’s once casual drug use has since evolved into a debilitating addiction. Any desire in Theo to perform has since been replaced with a driving need to escape the self-destructive path he now finds himself on. A growing loneliness has also left Theo longing for an authentic connection — like the special friendship he once shared with his dear friend, Rose. Desperate to return to the life he had before fame, Theo makes his way to his old apartment in hopes of rekindling his friendship Rose — and finally finding a way out. Despite the detoriation in his health (which has caused dramatic weight loss), Theo continues to exude an charismatic indie rock star presence.

Description
Naturally independent, ambitious and outgoing, Rose is coming into her own. With a committed relationship, solid job and a new house, she is ready to leave her musical roots behind and move onto the next phase of her life. After a troubled and desperate Theo suddenly re-enters her life, however, Rose is forced to come to terms with her past so she can continue to move forward. Rose is an artist at heart. Remnants of her past creative ambitions can still be seen in Rose's eclectic mixture of business-casual attire and colourful, unkempt hairstyle.

Description
After several failed past projects, band manager Calvin is feeling the pressure from Theo’s label. If Theo's personal crisis continues to sabotage the band’s success, it may signal the end of Calvin's career. Long-since estranged from his family and friends, this job is all Calvin has left. He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep it — even if that means fuelling Theo’s harmful addictions. Calvin has a tough-love, father-like air to him. He also looks like he would have no trouble breaking down a door if necessary.
