Project Synopsis
In this anti-war film, an Imperial Russian Soldier, Artyom, is saved from near death by a village veteran. From there, a fierce and philosophical debate breaks out between the two men; Artyom is forced to plead for his life and freedom when he is exposed as a deserter.

Description
FLUENT RUSSIAN SPEAKER. Having seen the horrors of war firsthand, this young man became a conscientious objector who deserted the war. And despite paying a high price for his decision, losing a leg to frostbite, Artyom remains entrenched in his anti-war beliefs. A bright young man from a middle-class family, who loves poetry and shoemaking, Artyom uses every ounce of his physical and mental might to get back to his family.
Character 2
Vladimir
Age
50s-60s
Gender
Male
Description
FLUENT RUSSIAN SPEAKER. A staunch patriot, who was once a soldier too. A decorated one, whose pride in his heroic exploits for the Motherland could be felt from afar. But now, the old man stands alone. No family, no friends, no backing from the state which he holds so dear. His only son died in a war years ago. All that’s left is the inextinguishable belief in his national identity, which has been built from years of tradition and pride.
