Project Synopsis
After suffering a double kidney failure during his semi-final baseball game, a Japanese-Canadian teenager begins to experience memories that aren’t his, and must uncover the truth behind his donor in order to heal.

Character portrayed is Male, Mixed Japanese, 14-18. Miles is the product of his environment. Growing up without a father meant growing up fast, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have the same struggles as any other teenager. Miles loves to be active, explore and learn, especially when it comes to baseball. He is always the first person to show up and the last to leave because being alone means sitting with himself. When he is suddenly stuck at home recovering from his kidney transplant, Miles must confront who he is and where he comes from. LEAD ($100/day)

Character portrayed is Female, White, 40-50. Jennifer is a mother above all else, even if it means putting her own needs to the side. When it comes to Miles, she is constantly stuck between trying to do what is best and constantly second guessing if she is doing it right. Since Miles’ father’s passing, she’s done her best to be both a Mom and a Dad, but deep down she always feels like she will never be enough. She doesn’t know how to talk about Miles’ dad, which adds an invisible tension to their relationship. When Miles gets sick, she will do anything to make sure he gets better. LEAD ($100/day)

Her intelligence not only lives in her emotional maturity but also in her intellect. Despite this, she believes the world works in mysterious ways, even when it comes to her father’s passing. When he was interned Takeo would play baseball as an escape from the world, so when he notices Kiyoshi showing interest in his favourite sport he decides to take him under his wing.
