Project Synopsis
A comedy with music - A fractured fairy tale story is designed as a family-friendly holiday comedy, featuring adult humor without being explicit. Years after being rescued by Prince Charming's kiss, Snow White’s life has not turned out as planned. The Prince has proven to be a "cad" who abandoned her for Cinderella, leaving a now-jaded and bitter Snow White to manage a bakery, described as a "sweat shop" (spelled with a silent 'a'), where she cares for a group of orphans, including a perpetually hungry character named Max. To help improve her dire situation, a character known as the "Fairly Good Mother"—a trainee working her way up to Fairy Godmother—is sent to assist. She arrives with a faulty magic wand, causing comedic mishaps. The plot follows Snow White's journey to regain her lost joy and compassion, involving a character named Vincent Charming (an art shop operator who tries to woo her) and a central, magical mirror.

Description
The weary former princess running a candy shop. Rough around the edges and firmly on her last straw, she carries a toughness born from years of heartbreak, misfortune, and simply trying to survive. Beneath the hard exterior, though, she’s warm, likeable, and surprisingly funny. Strong comedic timing and a knack for delivering a dry remark.

Handsome, though not nearly as charming as he believes himself to be. A little pretentious, but somehow he makes it work. Flirtatious, self-assured, and unmistakably out of place in Snow White’s shop.

(younger looking is better as they are meant to be a teenager) Good-hearted but worn down from years of child labour, they are determined to make Snow White happy. A little nerdy and completely clueless at times, they have a childlike innocence that makes them endearing. As the unofficial leader of the children, they’ll do just about anything you ask of them—no questions asked. Not exactly the brightest of the bunch, but undeniably sweet, loyal, and likeable.

The Fairly Good Mother

Adorable and endlessly well-intentioned, she is determined to be the best fairy godmother she can be—she just can’t quite seem to get anything right. Lovably clumsy, funny, and utterly likeable, she has a heart of gold and genuinely wants to help.

Description
Prudence is a small child who has spent her entire life working hard, but her one true goal is to make Snow White happy. She is quiet, observant, and rarely speaks, preferring to communicate through perfectly timed looks and deadpan reactions. Her serious attitude makes even the most ridiculous situations funnier, especially when everyone else is being dramatic. Prudence may be small, but she has the calm confidence of someone who has already seen everything. If the actor is under 15 years old, a parent or guardian must accompany them throughout the rehearsal and performance process. Additional Characters

•Freddy: 40+ male. Freddy is Derek’s best friend and business partner. A petty criminal with big ambitions and a constant scheme for getting rich quick, he is the brains behind their operation. Street-smart, cunning, and rough around the edges, Freddy likes to think he’s always ten steps ahead. Unfortunately, his plans are often complicated by his equally determined—and considerably less intelligent—partner. Think Pinky and the Brain, with Freddy firmly in the Brain role. Strong comedic timing and a dry, no-nonsense delivery.

•Derek: 30–40+ male. Derek is Freddy’s best friend and business partner—and the Pinky to Freddy’s Brain. A petty criminal with dreams of getting rich quick, Derek is enthusiastic, loyal, and blissfully unaware of how often he gets in his own way. His dim-witted nature is more charming than frustrating, making him incredibly likeable and a natural source of comedy. He genuinely wants to help Freddy succeed, even if he rarely understands the plan. Strong comedic timing, physical comedy, and an endearing lack of self-awareness.
