Project Synopsis
VFS SCENE PROJECT – INTRO TO PRODUCING (VFS CONNECT) “You skipped all the parts that matter.” A couple visits a church to imagine their future together. What begins as playful banter reveals a deeper question: are they ready for the life they’re building or just rehearsing it? An intimate two-hander exploring love, timing, and emotional risk. Minimal dialogue. Performance-driven. Shot on a chapel set at Studio 6, VFS Film Campus.
Character 1
ALEX
Age
20's
Gender
Female
Description
Alex is confident, quick-witted, and high-energy—a bike messenger who lives fast and thinks faster, always pushing the edge. She’s charismatic and funny, always projecting control, but it’s a performance. Underneath, she uses humour to deflect a real fear of commitment. She cares deeply, which is exactly what scares her. Slowing down means facing something she’s not sure she can handle. Looking for an actor with sharp comedic timing who can reveal subtle emotional shifts beneath the surface.
Character 2
Claire
Age
20's
Gender
Female
Description
Claire is grounded, calm, and emotionally intelligent. A young lawyer focused on building a stable future. She’s observant and patient, with a quiet strength that holds the relationship together. She sees Alex clearly and chooses her anyway, but there’s a question underneath: how long can you wait for someone to meet you where you are? Looking for an actor who can play stillness, control, and emotional depth without pushing—strength through softness.
