Project Synopsis
Donny and Tish are starting a new life together when Donny brings home a vintage 1950s Chillarama refrigerator. What begins as a quirky addition to their new home quickly turns sinister when the fridge mysteriously consumes their food and produces an endless supply of wine. As strange events continue to unfold, Donny is driven into paranoia, driving a wedge between him and Tish and steadily consuming his life. As Donny's drinking spirals out of control, he loses his relationship and ultimately himself. In a final act of surrender, he climbs inside the refrigerator, allowing it to consume him.

Description
Donny is a 32-year-old recovering alcoholic starting a new chapter with his girlfriend, Tish, as they move into a new home together. Despite being on a health kick the past two months during his proclaimed sobriety, he remains in deep denial of the extent of his addiction. He is therefore quick to justify bringing wine back into the house. Confident he can keep things under control, Donny slips back into drinking as increasingly unsettling events unfold around him, exposing how little restraint he actually has. Sober, he is lighthearted, inquisitive, and responsible, but drunk, he is brash, forgetful, and accusatory.

Description
Tish is Donny’s 25-year old girlfriend, excited to begin a new chapter with him in their new home. She works long, demanding shifts as a nurse on a psych ward and often comes home exhausted and hungry, relying on Donny’s support on especially difficult days. A born nurturer, she’s been Donny’s most fierce supporter in getting clean and is madly in love with him, despite his imperfections. When alcohol reappears in the house and Donny’s behaviour becomes increasingly erratic, her disappointment grows—not only because of his drinking, but because she feels let down by his inability to follow through on his commitments. Eventually, Tish reaches a point where she can no longer keep making excuses for him and must make a difficult decision.
