Tanner's artistic and academic talents have gotten him through most of his life, but when he left postsecondary, he floundered in the real world. He's more than qualified, but his ego tends to overshadow his social skills, and he tanks every interview. In this film, we meet Tanner at his wit's end - his overbearing mother is applying pressure, his bank account is in the red, and it feels like he'll never be employed again. As he bombs his first interview in months, an offer from an otherworldly being feels like an offer he can't refuse. Ideal candidate can balance social awkwardness and devilish charm. Age is flexible. Improvisational skills are a great bonus.

Late 40's

Mid to late 40's. Stephanie has spent her life pushing for success - academically, professionally, and personally. As the hiring manager at a major marketing firm, she wants to interview people with the same mindset. In comes Tanner. His shirt is wrinkled, hair's unkempt, and he's spouting excuses about unemployment that Stephanie knows are BS. Frankly, she doesn't have time for this low-level candidate. But something comes along to tempt her into sticking around... Actor should be able to play dry, humourless, and no-nonsense, with a fire that burns underneath the cold exterior.

Late 20's

The Demon is temptation incarnate. Think of the most successful car salesman in the most successful car lot in town. She knows her mark, she knows how to play it, and she knows she's going to get what she came for: a soul contract. When she meets Tanner in a moment of pure desperation, she can practically smell the easy win. She's cunning, manipulative, and ready to say whatever necessary to get him to sign his soul away. Actor should be anywhere from 20's to early 40's. Magnetic. Seductive, in the way a venus fly trap can seduce a fly. (No intimacy involved)
