Project Synopsis
Running low on patience and support from his family, Ezra is pressed to prove his worth or call it quits. As a last-ditch effort, he takes a palm reading session with a mysterious fortune teller (Marcella). What seems like a charade at first, suddenly turns into an existential nightmare as Marcella convinces Ezra to forfeit his destiny for her own cruel intentions. By the end of their session, Ezra is forever changed, his former life completely forgotten and a new future literally carved into his hand.

Character 1
Ezra Mulheur
Age
25-33
Gender
Male
Description
Despite his nerdy charm and dreams of success, Ezra has been unable to prove any sort of professional value. What's more is that he has become overdependent on the help of others while holding out for that one-last-chance. He has all the makings of an underdog, but due to poor intuition, inorganization, and flat-out bad luck, Ezra seems doomed to a life unfulfilled.
Character 2
Madame Marcella
Age
45-65
Gender
Female
Description
A witchy woman from an ancient era. English may not be her first language, but this doesn’t seem to matter when she is channeling entities. Marcella is charming, wise and seemingly benevolent. She can heal what’s broken as long as it serves her and her dark lineage.
Character 3
Mother
Age
50-65
Gender
Female
Description
(Voice only) ‘Mama knows best’-incarnate. She doesn’t believe that her son can hack it and any encouragement seems literally phoned in. As long as he is safe, he can find other ways to be happy.
