Self-Tapes - Callbacks on January 27th
Shoot / Perf. Location(s):
A dramedy about making it and living your truth in Vancouver. Chinese-Canadian actress Summer Ting is in the process of catching her big break, but it seems like wherever she goes, she can't escape her nemesis, who - get this - is her physical doppelganger...in the eyes of casting directors, that is. Follow Summer as she finds herself, loses her mind, and wins the hearts of directors all over town, while navigating her relationship with yet another nice white guy, and her estranged family, with help from her talented friends. Watch as our characters find solidarity with each other, and learn to be, unabashedly, themselves.

NON-BINARY - Black, Aboriginal or Latinx - SERIES REGULAR

*Looking for performer who identifies as non-binary, gender-fluid, gender non-confirming, two-spirit, or agender.
Character 2 Description:
Caucasian Male - Late 20s - SERIES REGULAR
Rapper, producer (under 'Jay Kay'), and Summer's boyfriend. Wears a gold chain and knows how to style himself, influenced by celebrities like Kanye West and A$AP Rocky. Likes cats more than dogs because they're clean. Buys expensive sneakers to treat himself. Actually a really good rapper, but unfortunately too white for that industry. Born and raised in a small Canadian city.
*Ability to rap an asset
